Indiana was a mere 4 years old when William Sanders began the construction of this one-of-a-kind house on the southern section of what was a 240-acre family farm. The bricks were made on-site from the mud of nearby Pleasant Creek, and you can be certain that there was not a Lowes in sight for lumber, roofing or plumbing materials. The second house (1020) was added later. A piece of Indianapolis History. For the first time in over 3 decades, it's available for a new owner to continue its legacy.
